Tråd: TeliaSonera live demo Helsinki 375Mbit/s LTE-A 800,1800,2600MHz
TeliaSonera recently broke the speed record in a live demo in Helsinki and is the first mobile operator in the Nordic region to reach 375 megabits per second on a commercial 4G network.
Under the hood facts:
The demonstration was performed using Nokia Networks’ Single RAN Advanced platform, including the Flexi Multiradio 10 Base Station. The demo also included software upgrades to aggregate two 20 megahertz carriers in the 1800 MHz and 2600 MHz bands with one additional 10 megahertz carrier in the 800 MHz band, as well as testing, planning and implementation support.
The live demo was done together with Nokia Networks using the so called LTE-Advanced three-band Carrier Aggregation technology, the most recent steps in the Long Term Evolution (LTE) mobile network technology(see facts below) and was a great opportunity to show TeliaSonera’s market and technology leadership.
Creating value through superior network connectivity
The demo in Helsinki aggregated three LTE carriers of 20MHz, 20MHz and 10MHz bandwidth in order to efficiently deliver ultra-fast data speeds, strengthen network capacity and provide an enhanced customer experience.

Facts
Long Term Evolution (LTE) is a mobile network technology that is being deployed by mobile operators and depending on the spectrum available, live LTE networks can deliver very fast data speeds of up to 100Mbps in the downlink and 50Mbps in the uplink.
LTE-Advanced is designed to enable a further step change in data rates One of the major features of LTE-Advanced is Carrier Aggregation, which allows mobile network operators to combine a number of separate LTE carriers. This enables them to increase the peak user data rates and overall capacity of their networks and to exploit fragmented spectrum allocations.
